Do I need Multilinear/Homological algebra for Analytic Number Theory? [on hold]
I am preparing for Master program starting September and my research interest is Analytic Number Theory specifically in one of two branches: Additive Number Theory or Transcendental Number Theory.
I have finished studying Algebra: Chapter 0 by Paolo Aluffi up to Chapter VII. For the other two last chapters I am not sure if they are needed for either Additive Number Theory or Transcendental Number Theory. Since I have limited time so I will study them if I know that I will need them as prerequisites. These are the list of contents: https://www.amazon.com/Algebra-Chapter-Graduate-Studies-Mathematics/dp/0821847813 starting from Chapter VIII to the end of the book.
I don't have an access to a specialist in those subjects so I found this website; I was wondering if I can get a guidance. Please help! Thanks.
