Thomas Hurd describes at page 6 (chapter 2: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1512.03084.pdf) an assortative configuration model for directed networks. While I understand Step 1, I encounter problems of determining the "Wiring" sequence in Step 2. How is the edge-type distribution $Q$ affecting the edge-sequence in order to generate an assortative graph?
