Create a index.php file and put this code :
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<?php echo 'Hi There'; ?>
</body>
</html>
And then access it example.com/foldername
If above not worked then create a .htaccess file and add the following code in that file:
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
